With reference to my Confidential Despatch of

this date enclosing an Ordinance llo. 4 of 1914 which has recently been passed by the Legislative Council to amend and consolidate the Opium Ordinances, I have the honour to transmit herewith copies of the following Resolutions and Regulations made under this Ordinance: (a). Order of Governor-in-Council under sub-section (1) of

Section 7 appointing Warehouses for the storage of Raw Opium.

(b). Regulation under Section 62 (a) setting out the conditions of licences for Warehouses for storage of Raw Opium. (c). Regulation under Section 62(c) setting out the conditions

under which licences will be issued for the sale of

Prepared and Dross Opium and giving the form of licence.

(d). Resolution by the Legislative Council under Section 5

declaring to be illegal the import of any kind of Raw

Indian Opium except such as is covered by permit from the

Government of India for shipment to or consumption in

China.

(e). Resolution by the Legislative Council under Section 5

sub-section (2) (c) declaring to be lawful the import of Raw Indian Opium under bill of lading:-
